Listening now…
You fall through the trees
And you pray with your knees on the ground
For the things that you need
With your lust and your greed weighing down
And you weaken your love
And you hold it above your head
Success is a song of the heart, not a song of your bed
When life gets hard, confusing, or mundane- it’s time to go back to the little things.
I tried really hard this week to notice more. To realize what was happening around me and take note. Of what the universe was sending me or trying to tell me.
Like when I went Pokemon hunting and found puppies:
Or the other day, when I finally made Chia seed pudding. And it was like heaven in my mouth, and why did this take me so long?!!
The other thing I love about Chia seed pudding is that you can eat it for breakfast or desert. And who doesn’t love something like that!
I wish I could find the recipe we used, but it was very simple. Basically soaking chia seeds in almond milk until the seeds expand. We topped ours off with fruit and cinnamon, but there are so many variations!
I’m very excited to try all of these.
And going for a run and then a visit to the creek we loved near the house we lived at a few years ago…
What little things have you noticed this week that made you happy?
Lovely post. In love with these words –
ou fall through the trees
And you pray with your knees on the ground
For the things that you need
With your lust and your greed weighing down
And you weaken your love
And you hold it above your head
Success is a song of the heart, not a song of your bed

Great post. It is often the little and simple things that can bring the most joy. We tend to overcomplicate things when trying to find what we strive for.

Overcomplicating and striving is my specialty. Lol (focusing too much on the future and giving myself anxiety) … Working on that! Thanks for stopping by lisa 🙂

Oh my word those puppies, I would have struggled to not take one of those little bundles of furry cuteness home too! Things that have made me happy this week would have to be my morning runs & training just after dawn (love that time of morning!) and finishing work on Friday (yesterday) with a big grin on my face knowing I had the next 9 days off on holiday!

Thank you for the comment Cheeta! It was definitely a struggle not to take both of them home…..! And I applaud you for getting on this morning workout bandwagon, that is definitely on my list lately..my sister has been doing it and I keep hearing about it on the radio, how it boosts your metabolism and gives you more energy the earlier you work out. Plus, you don’t have to workout AFTER work, which is amazing. Glad you had a great week! =D

This is a beautiful post! Love your dog – so cute! The other puppies up for adoption melted my heart as well. I’ll also have to try that chia seed pudding 🙂 I love making overnight oats in a mason jar and adding a tablespoon of chia seeds. The best!
